My practice centers on creating small imagined worlds within anatomical hearts.

Using acrylic, ink, and mixed media, I paint landscapes, architecture, plants, pathways, symbols, and fragments of memory contained within the form of the heart. These worlds are not illustrations of specific places but emotional geographies shaped by observation, imagination, travel, personal experiences, and cultural influences.

I am interested in the idea that the heart can function as a container for the places we carry within us. A mountain, a childhood home, a garden, a conversation, a belief, or a moment of wonder may disappear from our daily lives, yet continue to exist internally. My work explores how these inner landscapes accumulate and evolve over time.

The paintings combine intuitive mark-making with detailed world-building. I often work through layers of transparent color, allowing accidents, textures, and unexpected forms to guide the development of each piece. The process balances observation and imagination, structure and spontaneity.

Alongside my studio practice, I facilitate participatory creative experiences through my initiative Creative Kin. This work extends my interest in how people create meaning through images, stories, symbols, and personal memories. While my paintings focus on the worlds we hold within ourselves, the community aspect of my practice explores how creativity can reveal connections between individuals, cultures, and shared human experiences.

Living between India and Taiwan has deepened my interest in cultural narratives, belonging, and the ways people construct inner worlds through place, memory, and tradition. My current research investigates how these themes can be expressed through both visual art and collective creative practice.
