Creative inspiration & the New Year /January 2023

Updated: Jan 9

If you are reading this you like my work and I have probably met you online or offline last year I took some major steps to meet more of you in person and so many off you told me “I am not an art person” its made me think, is an art person very different? How does an art person look? Like aren't we all art people?

Do we need a degree or permission to be art people?

I think the world is divided into people who think they are either creative or not.

And I also believed this until I started working on my building my creative skills, in the following years I have come to realise that it's not that elusive, and creativity is not  only for a gifted few. It is actually very much like a muscle - which like when you go to the gym you can develop and the best part here is you do not need to go to the gym for it !

And why would anyone want to grow their creativity you would ask ? well to live a more present life, to know their aesthetics, understand their style, do better in whatever area you are - whether it's a job, its school or college so many reasons, increasing creativity can improve our outputs if this interests you here is my first short podcast episode on - fast tracking your creativity, here I pack a lot of information in a short episode on how we can build our creative muscle.

CREATIVE GIVEAWAY

If you don't have that much time let us use a visual easy technique to improve our creative muscle. It will be easy , quick and fun.

Peach Fuzz is the Pantone Colour of the year . And as Pantone puts it on their website , "PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul."

I took this one step ahead and found out a colour combination of 2 more colours from the Pantone suggested palette for the month of January . Find these amazing shades below

And now coming to my activity , I have been intentionally trying to find these colours in and around me and you will be surprised at how easily and how many different unexpected places I have found these 3 shades.

So if you have reached here , do give this activity a try , it really takes no time , you just have to find these shades in real life and it works like unconsciously once you looks for them once or twice . You can download the palette in your phone if it helps , and share your images if you tried : )

Below is my painting inspired by the colours of creativity and the frequency illusio.
