Undercurrent is the newest sub-series within Inner Landscapes, a collection exploring the landscapes we carry within our hearts.
 
A doorway into the unseen landscape within the heart, where memory gives way to imagination, and the undercurrent gently carries us towards ourselves.
 
I imagine that our hearts carry landscapes like these.
 
Places assembled from memories, dreams, longing and wonder. Landscapes that slowly change every time we revisit them, until they become something entirely their own.
 
When we close our eyes, we don't return to the places we once travelled through. We return to the worlds our hearts have quietly built from them.
 
This painting is one of those worlds.
